I help clients better understand and manage their information assets to make them more accessible and more valuable to their users.

Katherine is an information management consultant and taxonomist. She has more than six years’ experience helping organizations across industries structure, manage, and organize their content. Past clients include Campbell Soup Company, Costco, and Henry Schein.

Skilled in taxonomy, Katherine is also highly experienced in Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems. She works closely with each client to identify and prioritize needs and requirements that are unique to their organization, and designing taxonomy and metadata for the particularities of the DAM system.

Prior to joining Dovecot Studio in 2015, Katherine was a program coordinator for community organizations in Montreal specializing in support for seniors and youth outreach, and a coordinator for a post-production studio specializing in radio and TV advertising.

A graduate of the Master’s program in Library and Information Studies at McGill University, specializing in knowledge management, Katherine enjoys sharing her experiences with others in the information management community. She was a speaker at Taxonomy Bootcamp in 2020 (“Implementing a Perfect Taxonomy in a Less Than Perfect Tool”) and in 2019 (“Managing Large-Scale Tagging Projects”).

When she’s not working with clients on their metadata and taxonomy, you might find Katherine at home in Montreal, singing with upper voice chamber choirs and as a volunteer chorister for the Montreal Symphonic Orchestra, or implementing constituent relationship management systems for local nonprofit organizations.
